Salford City Roosters Green Community HubπΏ
We’re excited to share the latest step forward in developing our Green Community Hub – a space where rugby, nature, and community come together.
Over the past few months, we’ve gathered ideas from players, parents, supporters, and local residents. These ideas have been brought to life by our landscape architect in the first concept design, which shows how the site could look once complete.
β¨ What’s in the design?
- Wildlife-friendly areas – meadows, wildflowers, insect hotels, bird boxes.
- Food growing spaces – raised timber planters for fruit, veg, herbs, and espalier fruit trees.
- Wellbeing zones – a sensory path with artwork and planting, quiet seating corners, and a pergola with hammocks, fairy lights, and wind chimes.
- Community features – picnic tables, natural play areas, and a carved entrance arch to welcome visitors.
- Practical touches – a secure tool shed, cabin, and defined boundaries to create a safe and welcoming garden. We’re excited to share the latest step forward in developing our Green Community Hub – a space where rugby, nature, and community come together.
π€ Our partners: The Northern Network & Groundwork Manchester
This project is proudly supported by The Northern Network and Groundwork Manchester. Together, we’re bringing expertise, energy, and resources to help transform this space into a thriving hub for health, wellbeing, and community connection.
Their involvement will ensure the Green Hub supports not only the rugby club, but also the wider community across Salford and Greater Manchester.
