Masters Rugby Grows at Salford City Roosters
Men’s and Women’s Teams Now Training Weekly

Wednesday evenings at Salford City Roosters are buzzing with energy as both our Men’s and Women’s Masters Teams train side by side in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Masters Rugby League is a modified, social version of the game, open to anyone aged 35 (30 for women) and over. Whether you're returning to rugby or trying it for the first time, it’s all about enjoyment, keeping active, and being part of a team.
One new participant shared:
“It’s totally different from anything I’ve ever done. The opportunity came up, and I thought — why not? Instead of sitting at home watching telly, I’m getting out, learning something new, and having a good laugh.”
Another added:
“For me, it’s an hour of escape from the day-to-day chaos. I work full-time and juggle family life — this gives me space, friendship, and the biggest mental boost.”
The sessions are designed to suit all fitness levels, with an emphasis on fun, support, and community. No experience needed — just turn up and give it a go.
